OBITUARY

Caldarulo, Daniel

Demarest, NJ - Closter Location

Daniel M. Caldarulo, 57, of Demarest, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at home.

Visitation will be 4-8pm, Friday, October 16, 2020 at Moritz Funeral Home in Closter. 

Funeral services will be held at 10am Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Moritz Funeral Home with St. Joseph’s Church officiating. Burial will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Rd., Paramus, NJ 07652. 

Daniel was born in New York City to Marty and Yvonne (nèe Daly) Caldarulo on June 28, 1963. Immediately after high school, he served in the 82nd Airborne of the Army as a Paratrooper. a proud Veteran, He held much pride in his “wings.” He was a carpenter by trade in the Union and worked as security at Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant for many years. He most recently worked as General Maintenance for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey for over 20 years. He loved sports, especially baseball and was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. He enjoyed swimming, discussing history and politics, listening to all types of music, and delicious food. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. His children were the light of his life and share many of his passions.

Daniel is preceded in death by his eldest brother, Michael Caldarulo and his father, Marty Caldarulo.

Daniel was the beloved father of his children Julianne, Thomas, and Matthew Caldarulo. He was a devoted son to his mother Yvonne Caldarulo. He was a dear brother to the late Michael Caldarulo (Diane), sister Teresa Caldarulo, his sister Kim Brutomesso (Joe), his brother Keith Caldarulo (Donna), and his sister Carin Caldarulo (Cory). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
